We leave room in our schedule for emergency's. Call us we can usually help.

Toothaches

Toothaches can be caused from cracked teeth, decay, gum disease or trauma. When you have symptoms of pain, it is important to at least investigate its source. Chewing or pressure sensitivity is almost always something that should be addressed by a dentist. Often it is the beginning of an infection. Temperature sensitivity that lingers or causes severe pain is usually a sign of a dying tooth. The sooner you treat the source of the pain, the quicker you can heal. Treatment may mean a filling, a crown, root canal therapy or an extraction.

Broken or lost tooth from an injury

If you break a tooth and it breaks off as one piece. Save the piece. Many times it can be used to make an invisible repair. Otherwise we can still use a composite to match your tooth.

If you have had a tooth knocked out, it needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Milk or ophthalmic saline is the best liquid to rinse off the tooth if it is soiled. Be gentle with rinsing. Do not scrub. Put the tooth back in the socket. The sooner the better. If It can't be put in the socket milk or saline can work, but if you don't get it back in within an hour, long term prognosis is poor. The tooth will need to be wired to the other teeth by a dentist.

Denture repairs

We have a lab on site and can do most repairs within an hour or two. We have a good selection of teeth to match your denture.

Oral Infections

Infections can be caused from teeth or gums. It is amazing how fast a dental infection can grow. During a weekday we will usually be able to see you to start treatment. On a weekend if you are not a patient of record and Dr Olszewski can't get in to see you, you may have to go to a med stop, an emergency room or another dentist.

TMJ Pain
